Data practices
Privacy for job search workspaces
Ash Job Scanner Pro processes sensitive career information, including resumes and application activity. This policy describes what we collect, why we use it, when it may be shared, and the controls users should understand.
Information we collect
- Account information such as email address, name, authentication identifiers, account status, plan, and membership role.
- Career information such as resumes, target roles, locations, salary ranges, skills, public profile summaries, saved jobs, application notes, outreach data, and resume analysis history.
- Job and company data you import, save, score, enrich, report, or review, including URLs, descriptions, company names, source domains, screenshots or extracted text where supported, and feedback about warnings.
- Usage, security, billing, and device information such as IP address, browser, timestamps, feature activity, extension connection events, API usage, payment processor events, and error logs.
How we use information
- Operate the service, authenticate users, maintain accounts, sync the browser extension, save jobs, manage applications, and provide support.
- Score jobs, detect risk signals, analyze resumes, generate summaries or drafts, personalize filters, improve search quality, and keep user workspaces organized.
- Secure the service, prevent fraud or abuse, debug errors, enforce terms, comply with law, and protect users, partners, employers, and third-party systems.
- Manage billing, subscriptions, plan limits, usage ledgers, invoices, taxes, refunds, and payment processor communications.
Sharing and processors
- We share information with service providers that help run hosting, database, authentication, payments, analytics, maps, AI processing, email, security, and support.
- We may send selected content to AI or data providers when you request features such as resume scanning, job scoring, tailoring, company intelligence, or extraction.
- We may disclose information when required by law, legal process, safety needs, fraud prevention, business transfers, or enforcement of our terms.
- We do not sell your resume or application records. We do not give employers access to private workspace content unless you choose to share it or a workflow explicitly sends it.
Public profiles and shared links
- If you enable a public resume, gated resume, public summary, partner workflow, or shared link, the selected information may be visible to people with access to that link or workflow.
- You can change visibility settings, but people who previously accessed or copied shared content may retain copies outside the service.
- Do not publish sensitive personal information, confidential employer material, government identifiers, or details you are not comfortable sharing.
Retention and deletion
- We retain account, workspace, billing, security, and operational records for as long as needed to provide the service, comply with law, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and maintain backups.
- You may update or delete many workspace records in the product. Some records may remain in logs, backups, billing systems, abuse-prevention systems, or legally required archives for a limited period.
- Deleted or deactivated accounts may be retained where necessary for security, legal, accounting, fraud prevention, or legitimate business purposes.
Security
- We use technical and organizational safeguards intended to protect user data, including authenticated access, service-role separation, database controls, and operational monitoring.
- No internet service can guarantee perfect security. You should use secure login methods, protect your devices, and avoid uploading information you do not need in the service.
- If you believe your account or data has been compromised, contact support promptly and revoke connected extension keys or sessions where available.
Your choices and rights
- Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, export, restrict, or object to processing of certain personal information.
- You can control many profile, public resume, import, extension, and workspace settings inside the application.
- You may unsubscribe from non-essential communications where an unsubscribe option is available. We may still send service, security, billing, or legal notices.
Children, regions, and updates
- The service is not intended for children under 13 or for anyone barred from using it by applicable law.
- If you use the service from outside the United States, your information may be processed in the United States or other locations where providers operate.
- We may update this Privacy Policy as the product, law, or data practices change. Continued use after an update means you accept the updated policy, unless additional consent is legally required.
